At the dawn of the smartphone era in 2008, I co-founded Medialets, the world’s first mobile rich media advertising platform. Seven years later, one of our largest clients (WPP) fell in love and acquired us. ❤️

In my initial years at Medialets, I helped revolutionize the mobile advertising industry at the very dawn of the smartphone era by creating the first rich media advertising SDK for mobile apps. I personally built the world’s first HTML5 ads, won a bunch of awards, and spearheaded efforts with the IAB to standardize HTML5 advertising (replacing Flash). Medialets went on to create Servo™ the only ad serving platform that helped marketers manage and measure the complete ROI of their mobile ad spend.

After growing the team to nearly 70 full time employees, Medialets was acquired in 2015 by WPP the world's largest agency holding group. And it was good.

Before being acquired, Medialets partnered with nearly every major publisher (New York Times, Condé Nast, Yahoo!, AOL, CBS, The Guardian, etc.) and had MSA’s in place with all five of the top agency holding groups including WPP, Publicis, Omnicom, and IPG. Our platform supported countless brand and agency teams such as P&G, American Express, Toyota, HBO, Showtime and hundreds more.

Founded in 2008 and venture-backed by Foundry Group, DFJ Gotham Ventures, and Greenspring Associates (among others), Medialets was headquartered in New York City with offices in London, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
